Local Qualifying Update

PrintWe noted a couple weeks ago that Golf Channel on-air personality Stephanie Sparks was getting back into tournament golf. She played in the Ginn Open this week on a sponsor exemption and missed the cut, although she did so respectably - back-to-back 75s.
A check of the USGA's page of U.S. Women's Open local qualifying results reveals that Sparks won her qualifier a couple days ago at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. Sparks won with a round of 72.
