Natalie Gulbis Meets a Real Lucky Guy
RSM McGladrey - an accounting, tax and business consulting firm (full disclosure: my day job actually uses a consultant from RSM) - sponsored a contest called "Who's Behind Your Success?"
The competition allowed fans to write 200 word essays in hopes of winning a day with Natalie Gulbis who is sponsored by the firm.
Taylor Anderson, a student at George Washington University (more disclosure: I almost went there for grad school) won the contest with a story about how his mother helped him succeed more than anybody else in his life.
From the essay: "Born paralyzed on my right side, I am an unlikely golfer but all my life my Mom encouraged me to reach for my goals."
Taylor got to claim his prize on Sunday by flying to Las Vegas with his mom to spend the day with Natalie, complete with a round of golf, workout, and dinner.
What a lucky kid! As part of the marketing campaign, Shane Bacon of AOL Fanhouse and Dogs That Chase Cars interviewed Natalie.
We have some pics from the day after the jump.

that's very cool
you have to hand it to Gulbis – she really gets it – she never comes across as one of the pros who are “nice” to people because they are obligated to be nice or sign something – she just IS that nice, kind, and outgoing.

met her in Vegas...
…a friend of mine and I stopped in to see Butch Harmon’s place – she and Adam Scott were out hitting balls. AS came in and shook hands while passing through. He seemed kind of shy, but friendly. (ran into him later that evening in one of the casinos – he seemed surprised to run into the same people again).
SHE, on the other hand, came in and just started talking – very friendly and outgoing – apparently she had been on the range too long and the urge to put syllables together overcame her. :-) She chatted for a few minutes until her phone rang – it was someone who could keep up with her pace of conversation. :-D Definitely one of the most pleasant people you would ever want to meet.
