PGA Tour's 2009 Fall Series Sched is Out

The PGA Tour announced the 2009 Fall Series today.  We officially lost one tournament from the mix - the Ginn sur Mer Classic.  With Ginn's removal of itself from half of its golf engagements on the LPGA Tour this season, it comes as no surprise.  Ginn has been hit extremely hard by the real estate bubble bursting big, buddy.  (How's that for alliteration?)

There had been rumors going around of a Fall Series event in the Atlanta area that would be a bone for losing the AT&T Classic as Sugarloaf.  That bone was then supposed to turn up in the form of a Champions Tour event.  That didn't happen either.

So, the PGA Tour has an open week on the schedule for now and Atlanta is still without pro golf in 2009.

It may turn out that the PGA Tour loses almost as many events as the LPGA Tour.
