Golfing Caddy Tote From BVT Products
BVT Products recently contacted me to see if I would take a look at their Golfing Caddy product. As someone who likes to carry a water bottle on the course, I said yes.
I tend to get annoyed when I store my water bottle in my bag - a good ole Ping stand bag - because there really is no place for me to store the bottle. At the same time, I also have a hard time getting access to my wallet at the turn for a hot dog and my Blackberry as needed. And since I don't like to carry a towel around a la Bruce Lietzske, I tend to putt a dirty ball.
Well, the Golfing Caddy now gives me no excuse to be annoyed, get a hot dog, or play a clean ball. Really, though, I should lay off of the Blackberry.

The Golfing Caddy - selling for $20 - is a product that simply alleviates those problems. It clips onto your bag with a 1.5" clip that is similar to those you would find on big golf towels. It also has a hand strap that allows you to carry the tote on its own easily. There is also a separate clip that will allow you to attach a keychain, extra towel, or other accessory to the Caddy.
The Caddy's features certainly are convenient and well designed. The water bottle holder will store up to a 24 oz. bottle and has a cooler sleeve to help keep your drink cold.
It also has two pockets - one in the front and back . One is pleated with a Velcro flap and will hold items like your wallet, money, or even ballmarkers and tees. The other is pleated at the top with elastic that will allow you to store larger items like sunglasses or a cell phone.
Finally, the Caddy comes with a removeable, small microfiber towel that you can use to clean your ball or other equipment.
There's nothing particularly fancy to the product, but it definitely is effective and one I'll have on my bag come spring.
You can get this product in a variety of places, but start at BVTProducts.com. And, for Waggle Room readers, we're giving away a free Golfing Caddy. In the spirit of the Golf Digest US Open Contest, give us your best six words to play Bethpage Black with the likes of Michael Jordan. The best essay wins what I think is a pretty acceptable parting gift!

Will CG buy one if Michael Jordan endorses it? Wait, that’s more than six words. Oh, well.

and ??
you can’t POSSIBLY be trying to say that people of all ages, creeds, colors….etc aren’t affected in one way or another by celebrity endorsements. You’re playing with Nike clubs. Nike wouldn’t HAVE clubs if it wasn’t for Tiger Woods, and you wouldn’t have had the choice of their equipment.
Like I said – you put words in my mouth…err….keyboard. I didn’t say that ALL people are influenced by celebrity endorsments – I said all KINDS of people are influenced by them. Clothes, makeup, food, cars, golf equipment, tennis rackets…you name it.

and??
you can’t POSSIBLY believe that celebrities actually USE most of what they endorse, can you?
If Nike didn’t make sticks I would have bought Adams or Callaway or Ping or Taylormade or…

I think some do
Not all, definitely. But research shows that celebrity endorsement works. Otherwise, celebrity endorsements wouldn’t exist. People may be above the fray of influence, but it works on a lot of people. George Foreman’s Grill wouldn’t be as popular – or even ever sold – if his name wasn’t on it.

some golfers...
…don’t always have IN the bag what is ON the bag. Some of them put the headcover of what they are being paid to play on the clubs they are actually playing, so it looks like they are using it.
D – I don’t understand why you’re so bent out of shape on this. Celebrity endorsments are a fact – and there are enough results that they continue in just about any market. There are millions of gullible people in the world who DO buy because some celebrity does a commercial or carries a bag or whatever. Nobody said that YOU buy things that way – just that it is part of marketing.

I think we (collectively) should be better than to fall for some celebutard on some shopping channel pitching junk that s/he would never think of using. I think the cost of goods sold would decrease if advertising wasn’t out of control, which would result in lower prices. I think one of the benefits of our financial situation is that advertising budgets are being rethought, even though doing so could negatively impact my job.

and where is this Utopia of which you speak ?
D – there is an endless list of “woulda-shoulda-coulda” stuff out there, but human nature is human nature – and people will always be influence by the people they look up to, or are popular, or are seen as credible.

hmmm...
…if it takes away a few good reasons to get annoyed (and blame it for ruining a score) what’s the point ? :-)

Haha
Cause I don’t play golf consistently enough to be able to blame not shooting in the 70s on my water bottle :)

all of that on a little metal clip ?
You said it clips to your bag with the same clip as a regular golf towel ? That flimsy little metal thing ?
If they let you make a suggestion – how about upgrading to one of those aluminum carabiner clips ? much stronger and easier to use.

Not exactly the same
Definitely much higher strength. I meant in terms of style – something you’re familiar with using. Definitely stronger though. Golf towel clips can’t even hold golf towels.
