Robert Karlsson is Last Order of Merit Winner
There's very little time for Robert Karlsson to celebrate his achievement, but he officially won the European Tour Order of Merit when Soren Kjeldsen won the Volvo Masters - being played for the last time. Kjeldsen went wire-to-wire in the win that prevented Padraig Harrington from claiming the Order of Merit in the year in which he won two major championships.
Conveniently, Karlsson became the first Swede to win the Order of Merit in the last time that the money list is labeled as such. In many ways, the new Race to Dubai is a new iteration and a re-branding of the existing Order of Merit. The major difference is that the final tournament of the 2009 European Tour schedule, the Dubai World Championship, will very likely determine the winner of the Race to Dubai.
The Race to Dubai begins on Thursday in China with the playing of the HSBC Champions event.

nothing to do with Karlsson...
…but did anybody else watch the broadcast and see that Kjeldsen had revived one of Bernhard Langer’s old putting styles ?
He was putting left hand low with his hand all the way down the grip and the shaft running along the inside of his left arm, and his right hand pressing the shaft against his left arm – keeping his wrists out of the stroke.
Langer used it for a while and won with it.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
