Helen Alfredsson Fired 65, Wins Grand Air China LPGA
Helen Alfredsson has had a resurgent year this season, in part thanks to a great showing in the US Women's Open. Taking the momentum from that experience at Interlachen, Alfredsson has been a machine. She won at the Evian Masters, finished second at the Safeway Classic, and now has her 2nd LPGA Tour win of the year with a three shot win at the Grand Air China LPGA.
Karen Stupples entered the final round poised to pick up the inaugural LPGA event in China. Alfreddson sat five back of the lead at -5. With a final round of 65, though, she posted the best round of the day by three shots. When Stupples stumbled to 75, Alfredsson had the trophy in her hands.
After missing five of her first six cuts of the season, Alfreddson is now a real threat for the ADT Championship.

HEY !
don’t forget Allison Fouch – getting her second top 10 of the year with her T7 !!! :-) (ok ok – personal bias – my brother helped a little with her mental preparation a couple of years ago) :-)
Too bad we didn’t get any TV coverage – there were some pretty good lead changes – would’ve been fun to watch.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Hound Dog gave her his Big Surprise award
But all 3 Junior Mint fans knew what she was capable of, right? ;)

darn right !
I’m guessing that Allison will find a way to put one in the W column next year – though I think she needs to get back to working with my brother. :-D
