Erik Compton Advances in Q-School
Things did not look good for Erik Compton going into the final round of the first stage of PGA Tour Q-School. But, a piece on him on the Golf Channel about his efforts coupled with some encouragement from his wife Barbara, and a little help from the weather, gave Erik Compton the perfect conditions to move on to stage two.
Under difficult weather conditions and the nerves of the situation, Compton fired the best round of the day - 68 - and made the cut on the number to advance to the next stage of the qualifying tournament. He entered the day seven strokes off of the cut line.
His next stop is at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, from November 12-15. If he can advance there, he will make the final qualifying tournament.

Oooo
Callaway Gardens ! A short hour south of town. Might have to go down and watch.
Compton said that a piece on xxx Golf Channel helped him play well ???
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Yeah
He said that he was watching TGC and they said that he had given a valiant effort, but would probably fall short. He said screw that and made it on the number.
