Ochoa Pulling Away Early on Saturday
I've thought for a while now that Lorena Ochoa's first major championship win (the first of many, most likely) would come when she took a big lead - 5, 6, 7 strokes - into the final round.
Is the Women's British Open going to be that major? It's early in Round 3 - Ochoa is through six holes - but as I write this she has opened a 5-shot margin:
Lorena Ochoa, -8 (6)
Wendy Ward,, -3 (6)
Karine Icher, -2 (8)
Catriona Matthew, -1 (7)
Those are the only players under par as of this writing. Annika Sorenstam has dropped back to even-par.

Lorena and her first major
Lorena got off to a great start on thursday by going low when the weather conditions were good. Then by playing conservatively ( and smart, making everyone else try to catch up).
The course weather conditions have aided her immensely an her strategy is working well.
Go Lorena!
