Golf Blog Slog

Cruising the golf blogosphere today ...

  • My friend Neil Sagebiel - better known as The Armchair Golfer - is embarking on a new gig. No, don't worry, he's not discontinuing Armchair Golf Blog. He's just adding a new golf blog to his duties. Neil is now also writing Down The Middle for the Most Valuable Network (MVN). Twice as much Neil for the same low, low price!
  • Chris Henry at Eagle Par Birdie is gathering comments from teaching pros about the "Stack and Tilt" swing described in the most recent Golf Digest as "a radical new swing" being employed by about 20 tour pros (including Aaron Baddeley). This is a great idea. Wish I'd thought of it. First, check out the Golf Digest article about the "radical new swing," then visit Chris' blog for the reaction he's gathered so far.
  • At Golf Patents, David Dawsey writes about patents held by short-game guru Dave Pelz, complete with the schematics that accompanied his patent applications.
  • Golf Babes offers a selections of photos of Nikki Garrett, the back-to-back winner on the Ladies European Tour.
  • Golf Blogger calls Jack Nicklaus "the Oprah of golf."
  • The Golf Chick writes about the rental clubs a golf shop worker described as "new." "Old"  and "beat up" were the words he was actually looking for.
  • My Daily Slice is proud of at least one "rookie card" he has: that of Roberto Castro. Castro graduated from Georgia Tech, where he was a 3-time All-American, and Slice says he's the next big thing in golf.
  • Reluctant Jam Boy: "At this point, my neck is burned, my feet feel like they're broken and I think I've consumed more pain medication than Keith Richards. But, I also have cabbage falling out of my pockets. And that always feels great." Jam Boy is always a good read ... and this post includes Peyton Manning.

Thanks for the mention
Thanks, Stu, for telling your readers about my new gig. And thanks again for your wise counsel that helped me make the decision.
