Anthony Kim: Fear Me, Because I Don't Fear You

That's Anthony Kim, the 21-year-old rookie on the PGA Tour. He's apparently ruffling some feathers of older members of the tour, members who don't like some punk kid showing up and strutting around.

Kim doesn't care. He knows he's good, and he doesn't care who knows that he knows that he's good.

"A couple of guys out here, I think they're a little threatened that there's someone at 21 coming out taking some of their money," he said. "If you're insecure, you're going to lash out at some people (and) I've been lashed out at a couple of times. I'm not afraid of any of these little cliques that they've got out here."

Kim, a Los Angeles native who played collegiately at Oklahoma and now lives in Dallas, is the next great American golfer. Mark it down.

No, he won't be Tiger Woods great - nobody will. But he'll definitely be, at least, Davis Love-Jim Furyk great.

He's got the game, and he's fearless.

And by the way, want to know who the next great American golfer - after Kim - will be? I've got the early line on that, too: Jamie Lovemark. Never heard of him? He's a college freshman. Look him up.

the guy hits it long, putts it well, and has a great surfer/laid back mentality that will take him super far.

plus he just doesn't make mistakes...58 holes without a single bogey...pretty amazing =)

On the Mark

You're the one who brought him to my attention, Tiff, when you mentioned him in a previous comment. His PAC-10 performance was pretty spectacular. But what really catches my eye is what he's doing, at age 18, 19, in PGA Tour events. Making the cut at the Western Open last year, finishing ... I think it was Top 30 ... at the Buick this year. That's pretty special at that age. Not many guys do that so young.
