Waggle Room Diarists? Just Winners, Baby!

PrintSo you know by now that Janell Howland, who blogs here at Waggle Room as Janellaxo, won the Futures Tour Louisiana Pelican Classic last weekend (read her recap of the tournament).
Now, today, another Waggle Room diarist is a champion on the golf course: UCLA sophomore Tiffany Joh (TiffJoh) defeated Arizona State's Anna Nordqvist on the second playoff hole to win the Pac-10 Conference women's championship.
Tiffany came from four strokes behind at the start of the final round, then - like Janell, who birdied No. 18 to win - Tiff birdied No. 18 to force the playoff. Both players parred the first playoff hole, then Tiff birdied No. 18 again for the victory.
It was Tiff's first college tournament victory, although she's won plenty of big tournaments before (the biggest being the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship).
The All-Conference team was selected following the completion of the tournament, and just like last year when she was a freshman, Tiffany was once again named first-team All-Pac-10.
All in all, a pretty good day for Ms. Joh. Congratulations, Tiffany.

Where Tiffany got her start this year
Remember you agreed to "mount the charge" on the back nine (for the next two hours/no... three hours) in February at the pro-am day on Sunday, ending up dragging the rest of us to the winners circle. That motivation obviously spurred you on to your present high level of achievement!!! We accept all credit due for seeing you off the the BIG TIME.... Congratulations!! :>)

of course that's all I thought about!
"mounting the charge"...i believe that's about 1 hour before my group came through the clutch and started making putts and sticking shots on par threes...all while I sat in the cart huddled in my rain gear stuffing my face with snacks =)
