And They're Not Finnished Yet
A couple weeks ago we wrote about the underlying meaning of a golfer from Finland winning on the European Tour.
Well, those Fins are at it again. This time, it's Kaisa Ruuttila - apparently nicknamed the "Flying Fin" - winning the WPGA Masters on the Ladies African Tour.
It was Kaisa's second professional start ever and she had to take a break from college to play the tournament. She's attending the Haaga Institute Polytechnic, studying to become a "sports instructor."
And she'll be a rookie on the Ladies European Tour when that tour kicks into gear in May.
Her LET profile reports that Ruuttila's amateur career including winning the 2005 Nordic Champion. I'm guessing this is the first "Nordic championship" won by anyone from Finland that did not involve skis or rifles.
