Happy Anniversary

To us.

Yep, one year ago today, Dec. 28, 2006, the Waggle Room community was born. We "went live" that day, joining the golf blogosphere and the greatest collection of sports bloggers on the Web, SB Nation.

So what's happened in a year? A lot:

• 
  
• There have been 1,222 front-page posts, about 99-percent of them by me.
  
• There have been 309 diary posts, 95-percent of them by you.
  
• That makes 1,531 total posts in one year, for an average of between four and five updates per day.
  
• We've received just under 171,000 visits from golf fans across the Web, with just under a quarter-million page views.
  

Not bad, if I do say so myself (and I do). My official "Welcome to Waggle Room" post was the third post made on Dec. 28, 2006. I also made the first diary post, which was - natch - an explanation of the diary concept (which, to recap, is this: you too can post blog entries at Waggle Room!).

The first "real" diary post - e.g., one by somebody other than me - came two days later, Dec. 30, 2006, and it was Tiffany Joh's introductory post. Yep, Tiff has been with us from the start.

As have many of you. And many, many more continue to find Waggle Room all the time. My thanks to you all for making Year One such a success.
