PrintTiger Woods is skipping the season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii next week.
The Mercedes is not only the 2007 season-opener, and not just a limited-field, winners-only "special event," it's where pomp and circumstance are planned to kick off the Tour's ballyhooed season-long points chase, the FedEx Cup.
